Daiichi Sankyo Head Office Consolidation in Tokyo

The FINANCIAL -- Tokyo, Japan (October 7, 2011) - Daiichi Sankyo Company, Limited announced today that it will consolidate its Japan head office and the head offices of its Japan Group companies into three office buildings in the Nihonbashi area of Tokyo.

The company will also open a child care center and a pharmaceutical product and industry themed museum. The museum will be open to the general public and is slated for completion in Head Office Building A in February 2012.


1. Consolidation of Daiichi Sankyo Group head offices

The following is the schedule for the transfer of functions to the new head office building next to the current head office building and to the new Nihonbashi Building, which is currently under construction.

2. On-site child care center

The new child care center will serve as one part of Daiichi Sankyo’s efforts to support employees with children and will help to address the Tokyo metropolitan area’s problem of insufficient child care facilities.

- Name: Daiichi Sankyo Kids Garden Nihonbashi
- Location: Nihonbashi Honcho 3-8-3, Tosho Bldg. 3F, Chuo-ku, Tokyo
- Opening: October 17, 2011
- Capacity: 30 children


 3. Pharmaceutical Product and Industry Museum (official name still to be decided)

The museum will serve as cultural education and exchange venue and constitutes one aspect of Daiichi Sankyo’s efforts to contribute to society in Japan. The museum will offer the general public a chance to learn about medicine in order to promote better understanding and trust in the pharmaceutical industry.

- Name: Pharmaceutical Product and Industry Museum (official name still to be decided)
- Location: First and second floors of Head Office Building A
- Highlights: Pavilion with hands-on learning areas and latest video technologies
- Opening: February 2012 (scheduled)
