The FINANCIAL -- As of October 12, 2011, Ukraine sowed winter grains throughout the areas
of 6.73 mln ha, which totaled 83% of the forecast, declared the
Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine .
Agrarians of Ukraine sowed wheat throughout 5.78 mln ha (88% of the forecast), rye - 309 thsd ha (91%), barley - 644 thsd ha (52%).
Ukraine sowed winter rapeseed throughout 905 thsd ha, or 96% of the forecast.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy forecasts winter crops sowing areas for the current year at the level of 9.2 mln ha, including winter grains sowings - 8.3 mln ha, up 280 thsd ha compared to 2010 results.
