The FINANCIAL -- Rustavi raceway reconstruction is still in progress, in full accordance
with the schedule. 80% of the construction work is done. 28 pit boxes,
offices, VIP suites, race control tower and new pit-lane are already
built. Main grandstand and 20 private garages are close to completion, from GASA.
Taking into account raising interest to the project from motorsport professionals, media and local business, we decided to organize the first promotional event before the official opening scheduled to April/May 2012. The Rustavi International Challenge will take place on December 10-11, 2011. 37 Georgian drivers, including 3 new teams, as well as 6 Russian drivers on their own race cars, will participate in the race.
This is not official opening of the new raceway as we are not ready to host spectators. There’s neither car parking nor grandstands yet. So the entrance is limited. Only invited guests are welcome.
