The FINANCIAL -- Employers of all sizes have
banded together to hire more than 10,000 disadvantaged job seekers as a
part of the Job Services Australia provider MAX Employment’s Great
Australian Christmas Jobs Drive campaign.
Minister for Employment Participation Kate Ellis said that the campaign, which began October 1, had already exceeded its target of getting 10 000 unemployed people into work by Christmas Day.As part of the campaign, MAX Employment is donating $70,000 to the Smith Family Christmas Appeal and will fulfil its promise to donate another $30,000 for reaching its campaign job target.
MAX Employment is one of the country’s largest Job Services Australia providers and delivers assistance to job seekers in need, across the country.
Job Services Australia has already proven to be an extremely successful program since it commenced in July 2009, with more than a quarter of the most disadvantaged job seekers now being employed following assistance.The Australian Government is investing around $5.5 billion in Jobs Services Australia over the next four years.
