Angela Titzrath to become Deutsche Post DHL's Board Member for Personnel in May

The FINANCIAL -- On May 1, 2012, Angela Titzrath will start in her new role at Deutsche Post DHL as the Group's Board Member for Personnel and Labor Director, according to DHL International.

Titzrath - latterly a member of the Managing Board at EvoBus GmbH, a subsidiary of Daimler AG - will succeed Walter Scheurle. After twelve successful years on the Board of Management of Deutsche Post DHL, Scheurle will be stepping down at the end of April and will serve as an adviser to the company until he retires.

 

Angela Titzrath, whose appointment to the Deutsche Post DHL Board of Management was approved by the Supervisory Board in December of last year, has held a number of executive positions in the Daimler Group over the past 20 years. Latterly she was a member of the Managing Board at EvoBus GmbH and the company's Head of Marketing, Sales and Aftersales as well as a member of the Management Board of the Daimler Bus division.

 

Prior to this position, as Vice President Executive Management Development at Daimler AG she was responsible for designing, implementing and managing all HR development programs for Daimler's top management and the staffing for the Daimler Group around the world. In this role, Angela Titzrath was also in charge of the Marketing and Recruiting activities for young executives, and headed the Expatriate Management department, as well as the company's Corporate Academy.

 

From 1991 to 2005, Angela Titzrath worked in various positions for the company in Germany, Italy, Canada and Spain. She attended universities in Bochum (Germany), Perugia (Italy), and Coimbra (Portugal) and has degrees in economics and roman philology.
