Peter Rawlings, Master of Finance Class of 2010, was chosen from a selection of students from universities and business schools across the country after impressing the judges with his paper on hedge funds and how lessons learnt during the recent financial crisis have affected the industry. He also submitted two video pieces in response to specific questions asked relating to regulation and bank leverage.

According to Cambridge Judge Business School , the awards ceremony took place on Tuesday 7 February at the Worshipful Company of International Bankers' Annual Dinner at the Guildhall in London, and Peter was presented with the prize by Joseph King, Master of the Company.

Peter is now a Director at BNP Paribas London and he is responsible for providing debt advisory and lending for infrastructure transactions across Europe, with particular focus on institutional investors.

The Lombard Prize is sponsored by Lombard North Central, part of The Royal Bank of Scotland, and winners receive a silver salver, a cash prize and honorary membership of the WCIB.

The Cambridge University MFin is an academically rigorous and commercially relevant one-year degree programme which enables finance professionals to consolidate their existing experience and develop their future career in finance.
